Police report drop in Warrington crime rates

Cheshire Police have reported a 17% drop in crime rates in West Warrington.

Inspector Dave Griffiths said it was a credit to the younger generations as there have been much fewer anti-social behavior reports during the summer holidays.

However he warned residents to stay vigilant and report incidents to the Police as soon as possible so they can react quickly.

Cheshire Police hunt Warrington Arsonist

Cheshire Police are hunting a Warrington man in connection with a series of fires last week.

The first in a spate of attacks happened on Lovely Lane, where two people were injured and thousands of pounds worth of fire damage was caused.

The two were said to have been taken to hospital and later released with no serious injuries.
