A woman from Scotland has suffered facial injuries after being involved in a 3-vehicle accident outside Inverness.
Two cars and a lorry collided on the Balloch junction on the A96.
The road was completely blocked following the accident, resulting in tailbacks and extended journey times.
A spokesperson for the Ambulance service that were present at the scene said: "We took one female to Raigmore Hospital A&E with injuries.
"Nobody else was injured."
The road re-opened at around 10:45am on the same day, but traffic remained slow moving for some hours afterwards.
